Women Getting into Boards Survey
The Australian virtual Centre for Leadershipfor Women (CLW) is inviting women from Australia and other countries to complete a Women Getting into Boards Survey which aims to explore the problems women experience getting into Boards on public and private organisations and the resources needed to enable women to succeed in attaining board positions.You do not need to be a member of CLW to fill in this survey. The Survey will close on 12 August 2009 and the evaluated results will form a Report that will be available freely through CLW and used for developing strategies to help women achieve their goals in this area and for lobbying relevant bodies.The Women Getting into Boards Survey can be accessed from the home page http://www.leadershipforwomen.com.au/ Please circulate this information to other women so that the findings can be used to improve women's empowerment in the community and workplace.

Dina L. McMillan, Ph.D.
Dr Dina McMillan is a social psychologist and relationship expert from California. She received both a Master’s degree and PhD in social psychology from Stanford University. After graduation, she was invited to host a talk-back radio program in Los Angeles, where she also began a private consulting practice. Specialising in all types of interpersonal relationships, Dr. Dina has counselled thousands of individuals, couples and families in the United States and Australia.
Dr Dina is known for her exciting, unique approach to better relationships. She is regularly interviewed by newspapers throughout Australia and is a regular columnist for a number of popular women’s magazines published in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe.
In April, 2007 Dr. Dina released a book on the early warning signs of manipulation and abuse called, ‘But He Says He Loves Me: How to avoid being trapped in a manipulative relationship’ (April 2007: Allen & Unwin). The book has been extremely well received and is currently available in fourteen countries in both English and Spanish.
Dr Dina has also been featured on a variety of national television and radio programs throughout Australia and New Zealand. In April 2008 Dr Dina McMillan was cast as an expert host on ‘The Nest’ (SBS). The show has been one of the most successful in SBS history.
Dr. Dina currently lives in Rose Bay, New South Wales and is scheduled to release two new books on relationships in late 2009.

Zoe Freeman is the Director and Founder of zfweb - a boutique web services company specialising in bringing small and medium businesses to the web.
Zoe has over ten years international experience in the internet including high-end corporate web development, e-commerce and project management in Sydney and London. She holds a BA in Media and Communications and Political Science from the UNSW, the first degree offered in Australia in New Media and the Internet.
Zoe founded zfweb in 2004 to fill a gap in the market for a boutique web services company that provides clients plain-speak advice, support and service. Her approach to business is to leave the technobabble out of creating an online presence and demystifying websites for her clients.
Zfweb now employs six staff and has brought more than 100 clients to the web, ranging from tradespeople to designers to change management consultancies.
Ulrike Schuermann - www.momentumpartnerships.com
Ulrike is the founder and Director of Momentum International Partnership and specialises in corporate strategy and people engagement. During many years of working with the corporate and civil society sector Ulrike facilitated, designed and implemented program that brought together the public, private and civil society sectors to increase awareness of the interdependence of economic, environmental and social issues.
As an international consultant during the past 6 years Ulrike has advised numerous businesses including AMEX Australia, Parson Brinkerhoff and Telstra. Ulrike is a social scientist trained at Duesseldorf University in Germany and teaches internationally through the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law on Business and Human Rights, Corporate Social Investment programmes and programmes to assist marginalised groups.
As the Special Project Consultant at Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment based at the Swinburne University in Melbourne she designed and delivered the Centre's first corporate social investment course which formed part of its pioneering postgraduate course in 2005 and the Centre’s work has led to the establishment of the Centre for Social Impact based at the UNSW.
Ulrike was the Executive Director of the Australian Youth Foundation (now the Foundation for Young Australians) from 1993 to April 2001. In that role she developed national programs and partnerships such as the Rob Riley Scholarships with the Minerals Council of Australia, the Breakthrough Youth Enterprise projects in partnership with the Sidney Myer Fund and the Bercy Baxter Charitable Trust; and the BYTE Technology program with the Lucent Technology Foundation and the International Youth Foundation which aimed at using technology to close the gap between information rich and poor young people. She continuously sought ways to better involve the business sector in finding solutions for social problems.
