Some know and never do

Some do without knowing why

Some know and do only so much

And some reach for the STARS

BESTMe® for Women is a 21st century self-leadership weekend workshop designed to enable women to enjoy an increasing percentage of their lives as their own Best Friend.

It makes sense when we already know we can all be our own worst enemy.

Women wear so many relationship hats and rarely are they of the millinery kind.  Immediately at birth we become a daughter.  We may become sister to siblings at the same time or later.  We have all these little relationships to negotiate through school, where ‘being my friend or not my friend’ can seem as changeable as the weather.  We may meet someone special who becomes our partner.  We may then combine being a mother with our professional working world.

Most relationships are not being replaced by another.  Rather, we overlay one on top of another as we accumulate them and then some: we may even become grandmothers who are carers to our own aging parents as we grow older, ourselves.

Is it any wonder that the health and wellbeing both of women and their relationships with others might be less than what they could and should be?

coming to choice point

When we lose touch with who we really are and compromise what we really want to be while we’re so busy living our lives for so many others, our lives become almost incidental to us.

We might continue to choose the wrong partner because we are out of touch with ourselves.  Or keep landing the opposite of our dream job.  Or blow out our credit cards while we are telling ourselves we really want to save for that house; holiday; car etc.

We are each leading our lives.  Yet who is it that we follow?  What are we thinking and how do we feel about our lives?  Imagine what it would be like to take your own Best Friend with you everywhere you go.  What a difference it would make to the life we lead.

We’re at choice point!  Either choose to continue to think how we always think; feel how we always feel; and do what we always do – and get ready to have more of the same.

Or choose to learn how to become more resourceful in our thinking, feeling and behaviour and, based on our self-empowerment, increasingly lead the Gold Star Life we deserve. And, by practising how to use BESTMe® tools, we can learn how to increasingly sustain it.

Take your own Best Friend with you everywhere you go.

The coaching process and learning outcomes

BESTMe®  for Women is informed by the Neuro-Semantics coaching methodology and a strengths based approach to self-empowerment.

Women enjoy the safety of this approach while having fun exploring what is and what could be, and making informed decisions to enable living more of how each believes it should be.

It’s not about perfection.  It is about validation of our existing strengths and learning how to leverage for health and wellbeing throughout all dimensions of our lives.

It is about learning to recognise the quality of our self-leadership and striving for nothing less that BEST.  It’s also about having the tools for when we are at risk of spiralling down towards being our own worst enemy – so that instead of becoming stuck, we can learn from the experience and move on with an empowering sense of achievement.

On completion of BESTMe® for Women, self-leadership development is assessed relative to three Learning Outcomes:

  1. INCREASED PERSONAL COMPETENCE
How our self-awareness can increase along with our resourcefulness to self- management effectively
  2. ENHANCED SOCIAL COMPETENCE
How our awareness of our impact on others can become enhanced along with our resourcefulness to manage relationships with others effectively
  3. ENRICHED BESTMe® SYNERGISTIC COMPETENCE™
How our increased personal and enhanced social competence can enrich our resourcefulness to do what we know and pursue our dreams

We look forward to your company at the next BESTMe® for Women
